Antique Serving Bowl by Petrus Regout made in Holland (circa 1900)
Antique Serving Bowl by Petrus Regout made in Holland (circa 1900)
This antique white ironstone serving bowl was crafted around 1900 by Petrus Regout, the renowned Dutch ceramic manufacturer based in Maastricht. Founded in 1836, Regout’s factory became one of Europe’s most influential producers of earthenware and ironstone, admired for its refined forms and durable glazes. Their work was exported widely, bringing the elegance of Dutch and European design into homes across the continent.
The bowl features in-glaze motifs that remain remarkably intact despite its age. While it bears only the faintest traces of gentle use, the piece is otherwise in excellent condition—a testament to the quality of Regout’s craftsmanship.
Versatile in use, it is well suited as a salad or fruit bowl, yet just as compelling as a sculptural display piece. Whether set at the center of a dining table or styled as a standalone object, it embodies over a century of European design heritage.
Hand wash only.
